Fancy a party in Volda? Rokken is the place to be. Street food restaurant by day, host of concerts, karaoke, quiz, international nights and a lot more by night. It houses up to around 550 people, and it is filled to the brim on the most popular nights. The charm, or maybe the downside, of a small town like Volda is that you’re going to meet everyone you know at Rokken. Your friends, enemies and even your teachers. Everyone goes here.

Rokken opened on the 22nd of April in 2005, and has been open ever since. It is owned by SIVolda, and Studentsamfunnet i Volda, the student society in Volda, is responsible for the volunteers. The volunteers are a key part of Rokken, and a lot of students help out in their free time. International students are more than welcome to take part in volunteer work during their time in Volda, and have done so many times in the past few semesters.
